FYI for the curious ones: the skyline is 3D painted flats and not a back drop. the buildings were mounted on scaffolds.
Set for “Annie” the Broadway musical is ready to rock the stage at the Mattamy Theatre in Milton, ON. Another great production of Globe Productions in Georgetown. I’m very pleased with the way the set look. Thanks for Mark for working hard with me at building (he did most of the work) and making my drawings come to life so wonderfully.
Here’s a sneak peak of the stage with the skyline for NYC

Globe Productions present: Broadway’s Annie @ the Mattamy Theatre, Milton ON
Set completed. Move in date Sunday, May 6, 2012. I’m glad to say that in addition to designing the set, painting and dressing the set, I have also worked on the construction of the set. Looking forward to seeing all the pieces together on stage. One week to go and then we’re moving in… Yay!!
Here are a few set Pieces: Skyline on scaffolding, Staircase and columns for Mr Warbucks’ mansion.
I’m currently working on the set for “ANNIE” and I’m very excited. I have designed a skyline for the back of the stage which will stand on scaffolding covering 28 feet wide and 4 feet deep. The buildings will range from 4′ high to 9′ high. I’m combining/styling the skyline so that it looks like 1930 with a slight modern edge. So far so good.
